Zeal Education Society is established in year 1996 by Hon. Shri S. M. Katkar, an eminent industrialist committed to noble cause of education. Society runs eight institutes from Pre-primary to PhD courses. It caters to educational needs of more than 7000 students, and it’s continuously expanding to cope up with growing demands in the field of technical education.
ZCOER is established in 2007 which symbolized the beginning of new era in technical education. The college offers UG engineering degree courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication and Mechanical Engineering. The college also offers PG courses in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering (Power System), Electronics & Telecommunication (VLSI and Embedded System), Mechanical Engineering (ME Design / CADEM) and Master of Business Administration. The institute also granted as PhD Research center in Electronics & Telecommunication and Mechanical Engineering under Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) Pune since 2013.

Mechanical Engineering is one of the core branches of engineering offered by Zeal Education Society which has driven the world of technology to excellence. It has its applications in almost all branches of engineering such as Manufacturing, Aerospace, Robotics, Mechatronics, CAD/CAM/CAE etc.
The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2007 under Zeal College of Engineering and Research. The department offers Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral degree programs. The department has highly experienced and dedicated faculty, state of art facilities, Excellence Center, modern workshops and well developed laboratories; to equip students to cope up with the fast changing industry requirements. The department strives for the holistic development of students by arranging industrial visits to reputed industries and research organizations, invited talks by imminent personalities and technocrats, organizing National & International conferences, seminars on recent developments. Being aware of social responsibilities, we inculcate the entrepreneurship development activities and motivate students for rural technology development. The department has Mechanical Students Student Association (MESA) which provides platform to showcase their innovative talents and skills.
